260 Long Ridge Medical Office Building (MOB)

Industry Healthcare
General Contractor Downes Construction
Completion Date July 2025

Project Background

C&H Electric delivered the electrical contracting scope for Stamford Health’s new medical office installation at its offsite, leased facility at 260 Long Ridge. The expanded presence in this building will allow Stamford Health to relocate existing ambulatory physician specialty services, increasing capacity for specialty practices and opening additional appointment availability. The project involved a 30,000-square-foot medical office fit-out on a partial third floor owned by Building Land & Technology. Over seven months, the team installed new electrical distribution systems to complete the floor and integrated prefabricated components for efficiency.

The Challenges

The project presented logistical and spatial challenges. A small electrical closet had to accommodate all required equipment, including three overhead transformers in a tight space. The most difficult aspect, however, was moving materials into the building. The landlord required that there be no visual impact on other tenants, which meant elevators could not be used for construction materials, complicating delivery and handling.

The Solution

The project was completed on schedule in July 2025, enabling Stamford Health to expand specialty services and appointment capacity at 260 Long Ridge. The integration of prefabrication improved efficiency and reduced installation time, while careful coordination with the landlord ensured compliance with building policies. The result is a fully operational, modern medical office space ready to serve patients without disruption to other tenants.
